An interesting video for all the people who fear that most of us will be replaced by robots soon ...

I think this channel has a lot of interesting videos, the same is true for the following channel:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrU9YDoXE88

Yes, also Kurzgesagt is another good similar channel.

About automatization...  I'm not so hopeful, new Jobs will be created but they will all involve high skilled tasks and not everyone has the money or capacity to earn a doctorate in computer science...

Still, the thing I'm really waiting for, in the far (or maybe not so far) future is the end of work altogether... just universal income and end all this stupidity of having to go out every day to make more money for some millonaire just so you can stay alive.

Who's going to pay for all that? And then how are you going to make more money when you have put in more work (like invested more in years of studying, working 50-60-70 hours a week)? Because it'd be rather unfair if for example I, relativaly lazy, have the same 'universal income' as someone who works their balls off every day (no matter if that's physical labour or pulling all-nighters at the office).

Supposedly, this phenomenon will increase the so called "productivity" and overall wealth (I don't actually think this will be that "nice", but i'm just arguing within the logic of capitalism), more wealth, more tax money.

As for the latter question... I forgot to add the word "basic" between universal and income. You are still free to go out there and earn your millions if you wish, heywoodu. This is just about, you know, preventing people from dying of hunger.

Here are some links for you, in case you want to learn more about it (the first three links are in german):

Interesting footnote of history:

Richard Nixon already wanted to introduce an universal basic income more than 40 years ago ...

Edit: Sorry for throwing all those links at you, i thought i post them here, in case someone finds that topic interesting, i didn't want to "impose" a discussion on you ...

Here are some interesting links dealing with this topic and also AI in general, maybe you will find some of them insightful. It is interesting to see that people like Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg are also in favor of an universal basic income, but i don't know if them advocating this idea is a good thing or not ... ?

People who work this many hours are just crazy anyway :p. Unless you own a business or something why the hell would you work that many hours (I'm not talking about third world countries of course). A lot of people gloat about how much hours they work as if it is a badge of honour and I just pity them :d

I've read a book about a man who worked 16-18 hours a day (The Firm). Good book. :d There is a movie based on that, but not nearly as exciting. :p

Well yeah I wouldn't want it neither, but I do (in most cases, not always of course) respect it when someone earned a shitload of money by actually studying very hard, then working very hard :p
