Climbing commentator is one of those who believes their sport is end-all and be-all of all sports. How inventive (and not at all annoying)!

He also seems to have a weird obession with beach volleyball. "Oh, look, people from the beach volleyball stands are watching climbing!". He claimed this at least twice during my limited coverage this week. Like, who cares?

We have 4 gold but only one is in an Olympic event 

 

Christou (men's 100 backstroke, missed it by 0.03s), Ntouskos (men's single sculls, missed it by 0.29s), and Stefanidi (women's pole vault, was leading the whole time until the last height) were so close to golds in Olympic events...

I really hope that this ECh will be a bit more promising for us in Canoe Sprint than the WCh a couple of weeks ago. We need some success in women's kayak, it's unacceptable that we went from total domination to not even winning medals in the Olympic events.

Different Hungarian boat in women's K2 and yep, still weak. We are going to be in a lot of trouble next year if our aging Olympic champions won't be able to rescue us. Our younger athletes are clearly not ready for this task.

Didn’t seem too bothersome. It helps create a bit of atmosphere I suppose.

still, it's not respectful of the solemnity of a National Anthem...
