First medal guaranteed. England 3:50.796 in the Men's Team Pursuit qualifying, good enough for second and a final against :NZL

It seems very pointless to play the dead rubbers in the Team Badminton. Anyway, England beat :BAR 5-0 without losing a game as expected

The reason that dead rubbers are played in group stage is that they may provide the necessary tiebreak. Also, it gives the lesser teams more matches to play and give the reserves of the top teams to get some game time as well.

      Yep. Not sure if it was the NOC or the biathlon federation (I assume the latter) that put him in the Livigno training 'world' with a former Italian biathlete as coach, but they can definitely also be blamed:  almost everyone involved in that shitshow got the motivation just sucked out of them by the methods and shitty atmosphere until they either retired or changed country
