Yeah Kelsey Mitchell is now the WR holder on the 200m flying start (helped by the altitude of Cochabamba though)

Although at least she's also been performing well on other tracks, way more than the men's WR holder of Cochabamba :p

Hope they get disqualified in Tokyo ;)

That would just make it worse for the 1st team to miss out on participating :p

Of course, but surely the track helped her wipe out the WR, even Bayona did :d

Oh absolutely, I only meant to say at least she is a bit of a worthy WR holder and not some total fluke who happened to be the fastest Pan American rider lucky enough to compete there :d

The Brits are not looking dangerous yet. But yeah, magic comes in Tokyo :p

I thought the third rider was at pedestrian pace?

41.4 in the final,

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
