Last month I visited Venice and except for the EU Covid Certificate, you also needed to fill out EUdplf (only pro forma, nobody actually asked us about it at any point).

According to the Reopen Europa app, it looks like they are accepting certificates 'equivalent' to the EU Covid Certificate, which likely means that a proof of vaccine is enough too.

And if not, 5-day self-isolation is warranted.

A proof of vaccination being enough would be good, she got into the Netherlands with that last week, so it should be just as acceptable in another country.

She'd be able to get the EU certificate with a bit more time, but one needs a European social security number to do so and that will arrive only in a week or two (we registered at city hall today, so it's in the process of being 'made').

It does seem that the main thing is the fact that she left Brazil on 2 November. Brazil is on 'List E' and there's a thing about having been in a List E country in the 14 days prior to entering Italy making things potentially problematic.

Yes, this is the case and ..... the problem.

This is the Fulfilments for entry into Italy for countries  List E  (updated November 4th)

However need:

  • molecular or antigenic swab carried out within 72 hours prior to entry into Italy
  • self-isolation at the address indicated on the Passenger Locator Form for 10 days

PS: We have many rules, they can change every 7-10 days and it is difficult for us to understand them too.....

Thanks. I did see there is an exception for athletes, the federation is working on an invitation from the event they're planning to compete it. Also, the federation is convinced that the quarantine thing simply means they can not leave Livigno (instead of their apartment), even when presented with the actual link to the Italian website saying "address"...they might be a bit too optimistic and refusing to look closely at the rules, but what else is new...

My father is fully vaccinated and is going to Portugal in 2 weeks. The plane will make a stopover in the Netherlands before continuing its journey, do you think he is going to have problems?

He will take the test 2 days before the trip as it is the rule to enter Portugal, the problem is this stopover.

This link should clear that up:

https://www.government.nl/topics/c/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/mandatory-negative-test-results-and-declaration/rules-when-changing-planes

Specifically this part:

Just in case he would suddenly need a test for his stopover (which I doubt because of the information above), here you can see that one of the requirements is that it's not older than 48 hours before departure from, in this case, Brazil:

https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/mandatory-negative-test-results-and-declaration/information-on-the-test-result

And considering he is going to take a test anyway, I would assume the stopover won't be a problem (mainly because a test is not required, the way I read it, but also because if it is, he will have what I assume is a valid one).

Status of "athletes" is the best solution for reduce the 10 days of self-isolation; maybe the local authorities will can request another swab after 3 days here.

This day two years ago first case was confirmed in Wuhan. We fight with this shit already two years and still there is no hope that it will end anytime soon...

Today in :POL was over 24k cases and more than 400 deaths, yet two months ago there was less than 300 cases daily with almost no deaths... In addition our government didn't bring back any restrictions due to fear that people will not follow them and will be mad for them

Are people vaccinating in Poland?

Austria is taking the next - possibly slightly questionable - step, by making vaccinations obligated from February on. One wonders what will happen to those who refuse, will they be thrown in prison and/or be hunted down with a vaccine-shooting rifle or something?

    • This season? It's a pity that we couldn't try fight for him, especially considering our problems in the sprints.
    • Lara Malsinier and Alex Insam are junior World Championship medalists from a few years ago. Maybe it was possible to provide them with private teams then and now they could even fight for a single podium from time to time? I mean especially women because there, for example: Canada or France can be in the top, so why not us? Now Rodlauer from Austria has joined the Italian team but for now there is a huge gap to the top and only Sieff and Lara Malsinier are jumping well. There was success in the Summer Grand Prix but with a weak competition. Even 3rd place in a single competition in winter is worth more than winning the LGP with a terrible squad.   It remains to wait but I fear that the most we can count on is a dramatic fight with France and maybe Finland in the mixed competition at the World Championships. Bresadola probably won't return this season, so only the inconsistent Insam remains.
    • When did Kim Min-Seok switch to Hungary?
    • Earlier today, Taiwan beat the USA    Of course it's car from the best US tram but it's still a big deal for Taiwanese baseball
    • And even here we lose to France? I really don't know what's the point of organizing the Olympics if you can't make progress in practically any sport. France has the Olympics in 2030 and there they will definitely prepare 100%, just like for Paris. We can't do that. It's obvious that in ski jumping we have no chance of winning medals, but decency dictates that we should at least win here with a France like that.
    • Finally the ski jumping season begins 11 teams in the (real) mixed team competition, no Switzerland.
    • Most of our athletes are constantly bothered by something: the pressure to qualify, the miss of pressure when they have already qualified, etc. It's the same in football: at the beginning of the season they are a poor form becouse of a little played and at the end of the season they are tired. They are always looking for excuses. A real champion always plays at a high level, like Sinner, and doesn`t look for 1000 excuses for his poor performance.
    • Think it is mentally difficult for the two teams with the Olympic place guaranteed and the pressure off, whereas everyone else is absolutely playing at 110%.  I'm sure things will be better once they get to Milan.
    • There's no point in cheating, these were terrible European Championships for us. Retronaz out of form, Constantini with a huge number of big mistakes. Only illness can excuse it... We've probably lost the last 10 matches with Switzerland... It looks like Constantini had the tournament of her life in mixed doubles in 2022 in Beijing and she will never reach this level again.
