Probably, although considering the amount of blown tyres in the last two laps, it might have just as easily ended in disaster.

You have to take a risk when fighting the evil empire. With both Mercedes having issues like that, it won't be repeated again for a long while. Red Bull blew it.

He was having problems and worries about his tyres for a good while and was wondering when/it he'd have a chance to come in. Good choice.
