Vojthas 949 Posted April 14, 2020 #711 Share Posted April 14, 2020 OK, but can someone explain to me, why in combat sports there are two bronze medals given away? I know it comes from boxing, where as it was said earlier, losers are too injured (although I don't think that's the point anymore - I think there is very few knockouts now and the qualification system was created so that there would be box-off for the fifth/sixth place so...). But judo, wrestling, taekwondo... they're not that brutal so that they cannot fight anymore, so why not to do the classic 3rd place bout between semifinal losers?
