That's definitively dissapointing.

19th sport qualified in, as Skylar Park qualifies herself in women’s -57kg taekwondo through the WT Olympic Rankings!

From the Taekwondo Canada Paris 2024 qualification document: ”While the WT Qualification System for the 2024 Olympic Games stipulates that quota spots are earned for the respective country, Taekwondo Canada will nominate those athletes that have earned the quota spots by name”

Right okay, a bit of mixed day in terms of Olympic Qualification.

Natasha Wodak was on pace for 2:24 mid at the Houston Marathon with six miles left to go, but her hamstrings started to seize up soon after, finishing well off the OQS in 2:28.41. She hasn’t ruled out a trip to the Boston Marathon, just depending on whether her body can recover in time.

On a more positive note, Canada has now qualified their first athletes in fencing (20th sport), as our women’s foil team has mathematically booked their ticket to Paris with one WC still to go!

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
