I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but Tsitsipas was "randomly" drawn against Milos Raonic in R1.

Let's remember that at Wimbledon he was "randomly" drawn against Thiem in R1 and Murray in R2.

Also in past US Opens he has faced Murray, Medvedev, and Rublev in the opening two rounds. Tiafoe at Wimbledon R1 in 2021 as well, and Musetti R1 Roland Garros last year.

Really doesn't seem like a coincidence at this point...

Even if not randomly, which is of course not the case, no one cares. No one likes
Tsitispas (except the Greek, which is of course understandable).

and no, nothing to do that he is Greek. Everybody or almost everybody loves/likes Tentoglou or many other Greek. It has to do  with his character and behavior.

@MakedonasSome of these R1 draws are not random at all and the Main Draw was done behind closed doors so the organizers ain't even pretending they're juicing up the draw with some marketable R1 matches

All this being said and :GRE Maria Sakkari becomes the first Top 10 WTA player to exit (4-6 4-6 vs Masarova).

Meanwhile Iga Świątek lost exactly one game vs Rebecca Peterson :coffee:
