heywoodu 13,560 Posted August 7, 2020 #101 Share Posted August 7, 2020 Wow, helper Mads Pedersen sprinting to the win against the likes of Ackermann (yeah I'm a day late ) If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Federer91 2,140 Posted August 8, 2020 #103 Share Posted August 8, 2020 The two belgian superstars Van Aert and Evenepoel are shining the most after the restart. The dutch star Van Der Poel needs to do some catching up.
heywoodu 13,560 Posted August 11, 2020 #104 Share Posted August 11, 2020 Meanwhile tomorrow the Dauphine starts, which promises to be another fantastic borefest with the Roglic-Kruijswijk-Dumoulin trifecta against the Bernal-Thomas-Sivakov-Froome squad. Grassmarket 2,757 Posted August 13, 2020 #106 Share Posted August 13, 2020 Onto the final climb in the Dauphiné. Wout van Aert in the yellow has already peeled off the main group. 15k to go. What day is it today? Oh, an odd-numbered day. Must be Ineos’ turn to lead the climbing. Sure enough! Turning into a kind of Olympic Marathon with taking on J-V take over for the final 2k. And Roglič does it again! Bernal well beaten!
Federer91 2,140 Posted August 13, 2020 #107 Share Posted August 13, 2020 Very interesting stage today. I was really impressed by Sepp Kuss. Up until the final km it looked like a breeze for him, while other favorites were dropping like flies. Even after the Sky/Ineos train were on their usual power trip. Don't know when was the last time an american was still up there with the europeans and south americans on a real final HC climb. Maybe Talansky and TJVG years back. Everyone will be talking of Jumbo-Visma leading trio going in the Tour, but this guy from Colorado is going to be a valuable piece. Definitely earned his spot for his Le Tour debut. Grassmarket 2,757 Posted August 14, 2020 #108 Share Posted August 14, 2020 Off again in the Dauphiné - Davide Formolo off on a long solo run, Arkea are temporarily in charge of the chasing duties. On the Madeleine at the moment, so classic ground. Arkea were only left in charge whilst the big boys were having their lunch, so now. (checks calendar) as per Agreement 2020-478/1 Section 1 Paragraph 3, Jumbo-Visma have taken back over.
Grassmarket 2,757 Posted August 14, 2020 #109 Share Posted August 14, 2020 There was hail late on yesterday, after the main riders had finished their climb. Check out what it was like for the peleton. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-8625821/Cyclist-Tim-Declercq-shows-bruises-caught-hailstorm.html#comments Straight fight now between Formolo on his solo break & J-V on the chase. 10k to go. My prediction? Roglič to jump off the pack with 500m to go to win by 10 secs & take the bonus. Going out on a limb, I know.
Grassmarket 2,757 Posted August 14, 2020 #110 Share Posted August 14, 2020 Formolo hangs on for a very brave solo win, was out on his own a long way! Roglič gets a few scraps.
