(and no :ARG will not be competing).

Aaand it's gone..

Argentina protested and looks like Brazil supported that.

EDIT: A decision is yet to be made

Though it’s not saying much at all, Badminton is by far the Falklands best sport. They haven’t faired well at the Commonwealth Games, but they have shown they’re willing to devote what resources they have into the sport. I hope to see a mildly competitive player (at least at the Commonwealth level) come out of there some day.

Falklands will participate, but they’ve been told they’ll have to leave the playing surface when certain “VIPs” arrive. BWF have made it very clear that they support the Falklands on this matter.

Not surprised, most sport federations have the stance of allowing all eligible member federations to participate. Brazil isn't going to risk expulsion for Argentina, who isn't even participating.

A big tournament in the surroundings make you read articles. I've come across this suspension of Seo Seung Jae.
That could have huge implications for XD Olympic qualification for European pairs.

Has there been any update since then? Going independent?

The suspension of Seo Seung Jae has been postponed from the end of Olympics to the end of 2020. The decision is made by Korean federation. The reason is for the sake of his innocent partners. Basically this issue is solved in a perfunctory way.

Head coach Ahn Jae Chang allegedly was the one who forced Seo to sign contract with Incheon, the atmosphere in the national team will be different
