Only in Beijing, really, since now they have certainly not been doing nothing or been invisible for years.

I wouldn't say it's the same this time around, they have actually been good in the WCs/World Championships during the quad, but it is very suspicious how they're suddenly dominating the Winter Paralympics, after only winning their first medal in 2018

Wouldn't automatically say it is suspicious. Parasports in general are just not even 5% as competitive as the able-bodied sports I think, so theoretically it is way easier for a country to rise up quickly when investments are being made - which is logical for China to have done in the run-up to Beijing 2022.

 

In many parasport events, if you're a few percent off of the best, you're a top-10 or even medal contender. In many able-bodied sports events, you wouldn't make the top-50.

Yes but it's one thing to do well at a home games, then not do anywhere near that well the next quadrennial as most countries do. But not the same case with China.
