Happy for :LTU Ažukaitė, but next match with :ITA Fiamingo don't bring much hope for Lithuanian fencing to be fair :d

Glad to see :ISV and :KEN making to the top64 as well!

Ndolo represented Germany until 2022, she is a silver medalist in 2022, so it is no surprise at all that she is in the top 64

Some really good performances by the :GBR men in the individual epee. After mediocre performance in the pool stage, 3 of the 4 have managed to progress to round of 32 and all overcoming significantly higher ranked opponents.

They may well fall at the final hurdle to miss out on the main draw, but I think they will be pretty pleased with how the competition has gone for them.

Looks like 2 of the guys have managed to get into the main draw

first disappointing outing for :ITA

Gabriele Cimini couldn't even make the Main Draw of 64...that's not promising at all in perspective for the Team Event (where we desperately need a big score -at least making the gold medal match- to get back in contention for an Olympic spot)  :nopompom:

Unfortunately, it's a clear out for Igor in men's epee. But we have some news about boycotting process so let's see how this turns out in future

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
