Quota goes to actually. Of the three teams with one win (the others being  and ) they had the best match difference.

 

Don't know how Chile lost so easily to Puerto Rico, and then today gave a hard time to both Brazil and Canada. They're coming for multiple medals at the Pan Am Games, I think...

It was so tight , came down to games won . All 3 had won 1 match each . 
 

It is always better to have a knockout format to avoid such complexity.

 Won 1 match ( 3-2) but lost 2-3 & 1-3

Sure, but it's my understanding that  would have faced  in the women's semifinal, and that would have been terrible for us
