Monzanator 3,621 Posted July 12, 2023 #62 Share Posted July 12, 2023 Aryna Sabalenka is one win away from becoming the new WTA #1 (by reaching the final she will have 50 pts more than Świątek - 9365 to 9315). However Świątek plays Warsaw next week so she could reclaim the lead unless Sabalenka wins Wimbledon which would make her lead safe until Montreal. Up next, the winner of Jabeur v. Rybakina Four grand slam SFs in a row now, crazy consistency. Makedonas

Over in the girls tournament Alina Korneeva is into SF so still on course to win her third junior GS in a row. She plays Nikola Bartunkova next. rybak 2,778 Posted July 13, 2023 #69 Share Posted July 13, 2023 Ons in final, Iga will remain as number 1 in ranking, Aryna will stay as second, everyone are happy
Rafa Maciel 1,473 Posted July 13, 2023 #70 Share Posted July 13, 2023 Think the royal box will be disappointed that Svitolina wont be in the final - would be willing to bet that Olena Zelenska would have been invited as guest of honour and had Svitolina won, may well have appeared on court as part of the presentation party.
