Great manoeuvre from Belgium, they get a 2nd place in the women team pursuit with a very weak field and earn a lot of point to go past France ...

3:51 low for Germany in men's team pursuit, a new national record. Realistically we could have 4 teams under the old world record by 2020 ... :mumble:

I'd be surprised if there are not 5 or more teams (AUS, GBR, DEN, ITA and GER...not counting FRA as they're not going to qualify, but they could also reach that mark next year) below the 3.48 mark by the Tokyo Games are over...

Belgium will not be present in Australia? So we're going to end up in front

I think you don't get it ... only the 3 best results count. Belgium will get the points for being 2nd in HK, given the teams in Cambridge and Brisbane I'm quite sure the French won't perform that well so huge gap to be expected

It's not so difficult: the best 3 results of the 6 World cup stages will count for ranking, then There are the World Championships at the end of February that Wil give much more points, it's still open and I still think France is the favourite to qualify women pursuit. No chances for the men(probably even winning the world the championships won't be enough) even if they are way more competitive than the women

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
    • Are we supposed to take Daly's word for it or is this just public posturing to try and shame the Milan organizers (which they certainly deserve for all the delays) in order to threaten NHL participation?
    • Well that was a disappointing opening ceremony. Not to mention the boss is late too...   Anyway this is another victim of bureaucracy, the initial creative director quit in October and we get this kind of show.   Original plan: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17EVayTpig/
