Yes. Skeleton, bobsleigh and luge would be held in Sarajevo. Ski jumping in Switzerland, Austria or France.

Apparently they contacted with Bosnia because Barcelona and Sarajevo are twin towns.

well.. then sorry but I hope Sapporo will win it, because this is one really bad idea

I hope so too. I would prefer hosting the Summer Olympics in 2036 or 2040, as we have the venues already built and we would not need to spend such huge amount of money nor ask other coutries to host events. I don't care if the host city is Madrid or Barcelona.

So what kind of Olympics are those if each sport is in one diferent country?

Spain should stop all those Olympic ambitions and settle for something smaller and more realistic, like European Games or Youth Olympics.

or the Summer Olympics. Spain has the potential for it and is already pretty well a powerhouse in many summer sports. Actually I would really love to see Summer Olympics in Spain, but winter games like they are in this plan definitely not. I mean, do not get me wrong I have absolutely nothing against Sarajevo and SUI but this would be just sad.

I just think Madrid is ugly and a non-interesting city to host the Summer Olympics.

I think Madrid is ugly too, at least compared with the rest of Spain, but it would be a good city to host the Olympics as it would be possible to have all the venues in a relatively small space. Furthermore, it has a lot of hotel rooms for tourists and the weather is not usually very extreme (with exceptions).

@Griff88 I do hope Indonesia is really prepared to host the games should they somehow win this bid. Western media will rip your poor country apart, especially once more people find out about places like Aceh.

It would be nice to so the Sarajevo track up and running again though. The Bosnian government as wanted to rebuild it for ages, but they just don’t have the funds.

Yeah my godparents went on a trip to Spain 2/3 years ago. They weren’t impressed by much of country outside of Catalonia. They got the impression that Spain was quite poor.

    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
