not many surprises in the :FIN and :CZE leagues so far...

only the no.3 seed after RS lost in the quarterfinals despite the home ice advantage.

meanwhile tonight is a quite important one around Europe: in fact, we have 3 quarterfinals game #7's.

in :GER the Straubing Tigers host the Wolfsburg Grizzlys at 7.30 p.m. CET, in :SWE good 2 series will go to a decider: no.3 seed Färjestad BK host no.6 seed Frölunda HC and no.4 seed Örebro HK host no.5 seed Timrå IK, both games scheduled to start at 7 p.m. CET.

They have a team called KooKoo in Finland? I hope that's only a sponsor name :coffee:

no, it's not a sponsor...

it's truly the name of the team, or, better, the name of the company that runs the team's activity.

    • If Colturi were to return to Italy, we will have another super duo after Goggia and Brignone. If Colturi has to return, it would be right now, when alpine skiing is so popular here. There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.

    • Holdener beat Aicher for 2nd place by 0.04 so Aicher has to win the last GS to have any chance for the overall (trails Shiffrin by 85 pts).
    • Shiffrin wins by 1.32 secs! Business as usual
    • Anna Trocker takes the lead despite a big mistake. Maybe there is some future for  alping skiing
    • Lucas seems to be on another level in Giant Slalom right now.
    • Pinheiro Braathen wins the last GS and the small globe! Odermatt DNF in the first run and he's really tailed off in the last races.
