I don't follow tennis much, is it normal for matches that may have the same athletes competing to be played in sequence?

Like Marcelo Demoliner, he was competing in the men's doubles final and shortly afterwards he was back to compete in the mixed doubles final.

The scheudle here was really very tight. Even at the Olympics they usually give it a day of rest between semifinals and finals, sometimes two days.

In Pan it is.

In 2015 Guido Andreozzi played singles bronze match and the two doubles finals back-to-back.

Once again, disappointment for the home crowd, as :ARG Diaz Acosta takes the men's singles gold medal. Silver for :CHI Barrios (his second here) and bronze for :BRA Monteiro.

If Argentina qualifies the full quota via ranking, this means that the Olympic quota goes to Monteiro?
