Last weekend, Uruguay won the repechage tournament at Santo Domingo.

 

The venue was described as unfit for matches or training, with water leaks everywhere.

 

USA quit their match against Uruguay when we were winning 12-2.

The Uruguayan federation has made no comments about the situation.

Brazil was leading 30-10 so I guess there was no point in continuing, but still there was 16 minutes to play. Pretty bad for an Olympic qualifier...

Not unexpected at all indeed. Anything but  winning the quota would be a surprise.

Due to leaks in the venue's ceiling, both the bronze medal and the final have been postponed by a few hours. The final was first scheduled for 7:30pm, then 9:30pm and now 10pm. Let's hope this match is played today
