I know it's only the fencing ranking round for modern pentathlon, but the women's quotas look to be set: :CHN:JPN:KAZ:KOR:UZB. Both :KGZ:INA are far behind.

 

The men will be interesting to see who gets the last spot (unless something bad happens :CHN:JPN:KAZ:KOR will win quotas). Currently :SGP is in 5th spot which would make it their Olympic debut. :KGZ and :THA are the next nations on the list, the former last competed in 2004 while the latter would also make an Olympic debut.

The final men's modern pentathlon quota will be between :THA :KGZ . Based on the semifinal results the Thailand athlete performed better, 1112 - 1093.

      Shades of 1998 with  and  in the same group but this time it's really a terrible draw for the Thistles. I recall Brazil and Scotland played in the same group in 1974 and 1990 too so that's quite a high probabiliy rate.
