I didn’t want to jinx anything, but I just arrived in Birmingham to cover The World Games 2022    It’s my first time attending a multi-sports games in-person, so hopefully it’s an enjoyable

Just tuned in for the powerlifting.   Surely this is not a serious sport? If you need 5 (!) officials standing around, protecting each athlete, then maybe just don't do it?

10km Points/Elimination race is a confusing event to follow live. Not to mention the fact that a few athletes couldn’t even keep pace. 
 

It feels like this edition is weaker than 2017.

Gibson beat Randle 148-143, she now faces no. 1 seed Tanja Gellenthien :DEN in the quarterfinal. I wish it was streamed

Wow! Gibson just hit a perfect 150 to win 150-147 and go through to the semifinals, where she will meet #5 seed Paige Pearce :USA

How does powerlifting even work? They move the bar like 5 centimetres up drop it again and the judges give them three green lights
