So it looks like both Australia and New Zealand qualified in Men's iQFoil, Men's ILCA 7 and Women's 49erFX so big opportunity for Pacific nations. Of course it's more likely the Oceania quotas will be reallocated in the iQFoil and 49erFX

so, being Today a very sad day for me personally and a disastrous day for the Italian sport, we ended up with the minimum result (the men's windsurf bronze medal, already guaranteed since a couple of days) in terms of medals

on the other hand, we really can't complain for the 7 OQPs, which is more or less the number we expected with good optimism before the championship started

so, great tournament on average, just missing something at the top

hopefully, we'll get next year in Marseille what the bad luck took off from us this week :fingers:

my 2 cents on Kitesurfing...

it might be fun to watch (for somebody, not for me), but it has nothing to do with sailing...it shouldn't be part of the Olympic schedule :pope:

on the other hand, it must be noticed how :ISR Shahar Tibi just 2 years ago was competing in the women's Dinghy (470) in Tokyo and now she's the new World Championship on the board (iQFoiL Windsurfing) :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

that's really amazing, one of the most memorable sporting efforts of the last decade for sure

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.

    • The problem is, the World Cup is not a local event. Overall it's another storm in a teacup. LGBT rights in Muslim countries won't change a damn inch becuse of one soccer match in Seattle
