Men's basketball (assuming everyone here takes the world cup seriously and with best or close to best squad):

:ARG:DOM:USA:NGR:CHN:FRA:ESP:SLO:SRB:RUS:GRE:LTU

I didn't include Japan cuz I Heard there is some sort of standard and they are almost out of WC, right?

If that is true, then I remove :ARG :( or maybe :DOM if they don't take their best players to WC.

Yes, France is developing a good team. I think soon they may become better than for example Canada or Pakistan.

According to this article (which is of course not an official source, but still) only the first four teams of the new Field Hockey Pro League will get a place at the Olympic qualifying tournament: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/hockey/top-stories/hockey-india-justifies-withdrawal-from-fih-pro-league/articleshow/59513347.cms

Now look at the participating teams: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Men's_FIH_Hockey_Pro_League and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Women's_FIH_Hockey_Pro_League

I hope, that if one of the top four teams wins the Continental Championships, the fifth, sixth etc. team may qualify for the qualification tournament. But still, wouldn't that mean that some of these excellent tams will be pretty much out?

I am sure that won't be the case. There will be other methods to qualify for qualification tournament (most likely ranking). There will be 6 spots up for grabs in the qualification tournament, so do expect a field of 12-16 teams in the qualification tournament.

No, it's like this:

5 continental champions + Japan --> to olympics.

top 4 of pro-league (not counting continental champions) + top 2 of hockey world league (which is now left only with lower ranked countries) + other 6 best ranked countries left ---> to OQT (which in turn gives the remaining 6 places for the olympics).

There is almost no way for any hockey pro-league participant country to fail to reach at least the OQT since they are all highly ranked.

Here is a blog article that refutates the arguments given from Hockey India to pull out of Pro-league: https://be-hockey.com/what-is-happening-in-india/
