I think it’s safe to say the biggest drama for Tokyo 2020 will be the heat and this marathon battle:

And the IOC wonders why cities don’t want to host their games ?

And all because athletes refuse to prepare well for the heat, refuse to race smart and in some cases refuse to have the championships marathon as main goal (of course you pull out if there's a major marathon a few weeks later, but then don't start, ugh).

That's a piece of good journalism. Any media would like to have such a writer. I won't be surprised if that is his way of life after his career.

We’ll try to pick him up after Tokyo :p

Without having read it yet: Evan Dunfee is definitely one of the most outspoken athletes there are and, unlike a lot of others, he always backs up what he says with good, well-though arguments. I hope his 50k in Tokyo Sapporo will be as awesome as his 50k in Rio.

You are the first person I met who wish an athlete to finish on 4th place

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
