Great to see Gonzalez in a final. Very versatile swimmer (100/200 back, 200/400 IM, 200 fly), but maybe he would be better off focusing on less events.

Also impressive by Dean to come back like a freight train.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Really hoping Pudar :BIH wins a medal tomorrow night. IMO :CAN McIntosh and :USA Smith are the favorites for gold now, and for Pudar anything other than a bronze seems to be out of reach but you never know. She did go a 2:06 a couple of weeks ago.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Champion :CHN Shun 4th in his 200IM semifinal. Will have to wait and see if he'll make the final.

France's men look like they could be winning quite a few swimming medals come their home Olympics. Manaudou, Grousset and Marchand all challenging right now.
