OlympicsFan 791 Posted July 29, 2023 #605 Share Posted July 29, 2023 Very surprsing result in women's 200 back. I was sure before the start of the competition that bronze would go to White or maybe Masse, but the chinese won a very surprising bronze. At least her time was decent, but normally there should be multiple american women who can go faster than 2:06.7. Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Doesn't take the fact, that she is one of the greatest female swimmers ever. Of course and she is also behind in number of golds. Sarah however was the same age at her first, but she took a gold. However what is disturbing for her when comparing historically is her olympic merits. 1 olympic gold and 3 other medals must be considered as very "bad" considering 11 world long course golds and world record in 4 LC distances Edited July 29, 2023 by Swewi

heywoodu 13,663 Posted July 29, 2023 #608 Share Posted July 29, 2023 (edited) Regan Smith coming across as a bit of a sore loser, seemingly refusing to acknowledge the existence of McKeown after the final. Hopefully that's only how it seems and in reality it was a little different.
