A fail in diving or a refusal in equestrian or something is one thing, but I wouldn't wanna be the guy who's supposed to be saved by the worst team of the life saving competition

I see all of our five 2016 World medalists in the start list so I assume that tournament was the main (or maybe the only) qualifier.
