SVK apparently got 3 quotas in kickboxing yesterday during the WAKO european championships in Maribor (SLO).

 

Monika Chochlíková in K1 -52kg

Veronika Petríková in K1 -56kg

Veronika Cmárová K1 -65kg

 

That should be our first official quotas for the world games

now, let´s hope they will not be the our whole team for the games, and we´ll manage to qualify some other athlete(s)

as far as I can remember, we always had limited number of athletes for each event at the World Games. 12 athletes per event looks fine for me,

I had hoped it would be more of a 'serious' competition, instead of only 12, probably resulting in even more world class athletes missing out than in the Olympics

well, you have a point here, but I doubt World Games organizers want their event to be considered as a "warmup" for the Olympic Games.

 

beside that, we have full program Climbing event with 12 athletes per event, mean 36 per gender, 36 is still bigger than 20 at the Olympics
