:POL Iga Świątek won the Warsaw 250 the previous weekend and Prague has had even more rain the following week so the second SF had to be finished on Monday before the final where lucky loser :JPN Nao Hibino beat :CZE Linda Noskova 6-4 6-1 which is quite a shocking result tbh.

WTA 1000 in Montreal starts today, also the comeback of :DEN Caroline Wozniacki who drew :AUS Kimberley Birrell in R1. That's a soft draw as it gets but some of these Q placements in Main Draw have long been suspicious anyway

Kasatkina's matches usually turn into some lenghty shitfests and that's primarily because of her junk 2nd serve - pretty much the worst in Top 50 ranking.

Meanwhile :COL gets revenge over :ENG as Camila Osorio takes down Katie Boulter in Cincinnati Q1

WTA 1000 in Montreal has been a complete dumpster fire. Due to rain delays Liudmila Samsonova had to play SF and Final on the same day and has nothing for the latter winning only one game vs Jessica Pegula. Moreover Elena Rybakina picked up a shoulder injury and has blasted WTA leadership which is led by the Alpha Clown himself Steve Simon. This was probably the worst "big" tournament of the season and it doesn't have much competition for that award.

Day 1 in Cincinnati and we are on the second rain delay already. This tournament also looks to be a joke in the making. And it's a joined ATP/WTA event so the schedule will be a bigger problem.

Cleveland 250 MD is out and they somehow managed to fix the draw to have 43 year old Venus WIlliams play 16 year old Mirra Andreeva in R1.

That's 27 years age gap and must be a WTA MD record in XXI century as I don't remember Kimiko Date playing anyone this young after her comeback and that would be the only other potential player at this level.

Guadalajara 1000 has been skipped by many top names who focused on the Asian double-header coming up (WTA roadmap is total crap - brand new information) so we have a somewhat shocking final - :GRE Maria Sakkari vs :USA Caroline Dolehide. If Sakkari can't beat Dolehide to finally add to her Rabat 250 title then she might as well never win a WTA title again. Dolehide saved 3 MP vs Martina Trevisan in the QF.

    • now the shooting sport takes a little Christmas break and the new season resumes in January with the Asian Championships for the Shotgun specialists ( Doha, Jan. 11th through 22nd)   the World Cup will be back in late March, beginning in  Tangiers (March 25th through April 3rd, Shotgun specialists only)   the Rifle and Pistol specialists will start their new season with the European 10m Championships in  Yerevan (Feb. 27th through March 5th) and the 1st World Cup stage for them will be in  Granada in April (5th through 13th)   300m, 25m and 50m European Champs will be in  Osijek (May 30th through June 21st), meanwhile the Shotgun European Champs will be held in  Athens from Sept. 27th through Oct. 13th

    • USA will.play in California then Seattle then California ...why hell this long distance , teams should stay in 1 place , this is tiring even for spectators
    • so, the 2025 season is officially over, after the World Cup Finals have been completed with the Shotgun events, where (once again!!!) a new format for the final stage of each event has been experimented for the first time (before it becomes a regular feature in the next season)   the new format enlarge the starting field in each event's final stage to 8 shooters and dramatically shortens the number of target shots to decide the placings   the only characteristic remaining is the progressive eliminations principle   now, as written above, 8 shooters make the final, where after only 12 targets the eliminations start: by then, the last 2 shooters must leave the competition (7th and 8th ranked)   after 12 more targets (24 in total), 2 more shooters have to leave the final (5th and 6th ranked)   then, the crazy carousel starts: every 4 targets we have a new elimination  so, after 28 targets, the 4th ranked shooter is done; after 32 targets the bronze medallist is known and after only 36 targets (provided there's no need for a shoot-off), compared to the previous 60, the gold and silver medallists are crowned   I guess the tiktok people with the attention span of a chinchilla have won once again
