Dressage - GER - well, it's quite obvious.

Eventing - AUS - 3 golds in a row 1992-2000, really spectaculiar

Jumping - FRA - because it's jumping. The obstacles are knocked down in the most unexpected moments, so even if GER, SWE, maybe GBR, USA or NED look better on paper, I can smell a surprise here, and I cheer for FRA so here it is.

Fencing - FRA - in a very close final against ITA but I cheer for FRA,

Athletics - GBR - I'm biased obviously, but their 2004 win against USA is one of my fav olympic moments, it really made my laugh and smile. JAM will drop a batton in my imaginary games because of karma - 2008 DSQ of one of their members was one of biggest disappontments in olympic history for me

Equestrian, team Dressage...to my displeasure, it must be  Germany...too succesfull as a school.

 

Equestrian, team Eventing...not really an expert, but the Australian team dominating the Nineties until the home triumph in Sydney is my pick.

 

Equestrian, team Jumping...the current team  Sweden is amazing, I think that none of the champions of the past (again, for the little I know about this discipline) have the same charm other than strenght.

therefore they are my pick.

 

Fencing, men's team Epee...despite the 1996 & 2000 double is always in my heart & mind (especially that miracle by Alfredo Rota in Sydney 2000 in the semifinal match vs ), the  French team in the last 20 years is so dominant that must be the only possible pick.

 

Athletics, men's 4*100m Relay...I'm too biased, but the emotion was so strong that I almost had a stroke and therefore I just have to pick the (maybe) most unexpected gold medal in the history of the Italian sport, so  Italy is my pick.

Equestrian, team Dressage    Germany's 400 successive gold medals win this contest

 

Equestrian, team Eventing. Australia had a great run  at the end of the last century but they in 96 and 2000 they put their best combinations in the team competition when it was held separately from the individual when other countries split the effort over both events.

Again I may be biased but  in 1968 had three of the top five finishers in terrible conditions (one of the Irish riders had to be saved from drowning) so they get my vote

 

Equestrian, team Jumping. Here it's between  2021  Sweden and  of the 96 and 2000 Games. Here the brilliance of the Atlanta Games from Germany wins my vote

 

Fencing, men's team Epee. Vive la  

 

Athletics, men's 4x100m Relay. I also loved 2004 and the American lead runner (Crawford?) trying to look like a gangsta at the start and then looking silly when they lost. I changed my a lot about this, swapping between  and  but eventually decided that the 1984 US team tipped the balance in favour of America

Special mention in team dressage has to go to Soviet Union who defeated Germany... in Germany.

 

Definitely makes them one of the hall of fame teams.
