This stupid name will be official?  Małopolska aka Lesser Poland is the region where Kraków is located. It sure doesn't sound as fancy as Emilia-Romagna and nobody outside of Poland doesn't give a hoot about it IMO

About sport programm, it sadly doesn't include such important in Poland sport like volleyball (which was on the provisional list of sports), even in beach version :facepalm:When I did asked our Olympic Committee what is decision behind this they decided to ignore my message, while Organizing Comittee respond that they aren't responsible about sport programm....

I believe rugby sevens is still on the program, though I haven’t heard much about that admittedly. I only say something because it’s still listed here: https://www.european-games.org/european-games-2023-2/

I would want believe for that (it's always better to have more sports, than less, especially when it come to team sports) but I didn't heard anything about rugby lately as well, also this sport isn't included in the official preview video of our NOC instagram account, but I'm bit confused if this video have anything related with sport programm of upcoming Games since it includes road cycling and wrestling which are absent in the list... Just welcome in Poland, where you will find mess everywhere...

Athletics team championships with all NOCs must be a hell of organization stuff :p  just imagine the pole vault or high jump comptitions with 50 athletes

great to see canoeing slalom & shooting in, also kickboxing should be medal possibility for us here

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.

    • I don't think he'll mind too much
    • But his time isn`t valid at track record.
    • Vladimir Semirunniy dropped a 12:28 in the 10000m B division, which qualifies him for the Olympics as the fastest time this season (with the big asterisk that it was done in a quad start). Must be a real relief for the Polish team given he isn't looking likely to qualify for the 10000m (or the 5000m) by ranking.   Really problematic that they rank pair start and quad start times together, but whatever.   Also, the Wikipedia page for qualification is updated through the second day.
