Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won his second Northern Star award as Canadian athlete of the year after a pretty okay 2025 (NBA All Star, NBA Champion, NBA Finals MVP and NBA regular season MVP). This is the third time a basketball player wins the Northern Star (Steve Nash had previously won it). Reportedly other serious contenders were Summer McIntosh, Rachel Homan, Sophie de Goede and Camryn Rogers. -
There will basically be just as many opening ceremonies as Olympic 'villages'/hotels. -

Vonn winning by a second doesn't speak well for the state of women's alpine skiing. -
SF 29-23 35-25 Bronze Medal Match - Final - Well, I think the final is 99.9% likely to go to Norway. But I imagine Germany is already quite satisfied with this silver medal. -
