Huge kudos to Iran for holding their own.   This dual flag bearer idea really just removes individuality of the athletes and reduces them to their gender... It's patronizing and presumptuous

Meanwhile :MAS Khairul Anuar Mohamad will step down from the flag bearer role as he is focusing on mixed team competition

Also :PHI Carlos Yulo to reject the offer from his NOC, with officials claiming the flags are too heavy (I know they wanted to keep him fit for the 1st day of gymnastics competition, but hey at least say something better lah :lol: )

:MAS named Lee Zii Jia (badminton) as their male flag bearer replacement

It looks like the flag bearer for the Philippine delegation will be a boxer. The choice is between Eumir Marcial and Nesthy Petecio.
