juddy96 171 Posted August 19, 2016 Author #561 Share Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) We've matched our medals from London, and quadrupled our golds, anything else is a bonus. I'm perfectly content as is. 11 medals between Athletics and Swimming is amazing. We have 5 medals in Athletics so far, which is equal to the amount of medals in athletics we had in the last 5 Olympics combined. And 6 medals in swimming is 1 more than than the combined amount of the last 4 Olympics. Edited August 19, 2016 by juddy96 George_D

intoronto 4,522 Posted August 19, 2016 #565 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Mark De Jonge finishes third in the heat and barely qualified for the finals. Idk whether he is injured ... or ?
orangeman 1,422 Posted August 19, 2016 #566 Share Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) De Jonge barely qualifies for the final by 0.003. Did not look like a contender today, though. Edited August 19, 2016 by orangeman

james89 510 Posted August 19, 2016 #568 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Dunfee finishes 4th. I can't complain, he ran a great race and a great future! I would like to think what would have happened if Arai hadn't elbowed with him.
orangeman 1,422 Posted August 19, 2016 #569 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Too bad for Dunfee. Not on the 4th, but on getting screwed over by a dirty racer. Oh well. Good news is Lamaze is still perfect after the first round. Tied for 1st with 13 others, though. Should be an exciting lunch time, with Lamaze, Nyhaug and the soccer game (and Brooke still going in golf, and our girl going in TKD).
juddy96 171 Posted August 19, 2016 Author #570 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Shame for Evan, he took 2 minutes off his own Canadian record but got knocked off his stride by the Japanese guy. With how wobbly he was I'm doubtful he would've beaten Arai anyway, but it still sucks for him.
