@heywoodu Almost had a fellow Dutchman to cheer for. Oh well, back to Skating I guess

Yep, missed out on 0,09 seconds :(

 

Too bad, on a good day he can get to the quarter finals or something. There's still Niek van der Velden and Cheryl Maas in some of those freestyle thingies :p

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
