Watching the shorttrack now and it's unbelievable how bad the TV directors were, every single time :yikes:

I mean, they didn't show most events these Youth Olympics, but at least they showed shorttrack...and then they did it that bad, only showing the leader even if the leader is completely alone and there's a huge fight behind them.

5 medals is a very good result for Spain considering we didn't win a single medal in 2016 and 2012. Hopefully, this generation will help to develop Winter sports in the country and we can regularly win at least 1 or 2 medals at the Olympics.

Oh and what's the logic behind the shorttrack relay having both letters and colours? They're only mentioned as "Team A", "Team G" etc on the start lists, while the commentator literally only mentions their colours ("the blues are in front, but here come the whites!"). Meaning you have to follow three separate things (athletes, colours and letters) to follow your favourite athletes

And even worse: in the final, the commentator just keeps calling Shogo Miyata (Japanese, male) Kim Chan-seo (South Korean, female) throughout the entire final  I don't know how he doesn't see it's clearly not a South Korean suit he's wearing.

Even worse: he doesn't even know Kim is a girl. "And Kim Chan-seo gets another gold medal to go with his 1000m gold medal!" That's just two wrong things in one: Kim is a girl and Kim got 1000m silver

Overall, a great edition of the Youth Olympics. It once again raised the image of profile of the YOG. It gave us exciting competitions, and worked as a great teaser for Beijing 2022.
