Final figure skating quotas:

@Vojthas Did the ISU publish the “stand-by” list for reallocations yet. The qualification document says they are supposed to by October 30. It would be nice to have because it appears we will have a few reallocations...

Nevermind. It looks like they already added the known reallocations for now. It just took me a while to figure that out.

:PRK looks set for their first winter YOG appearance. I would be willing to bet that quota gets reallocated (unless they’ve already confirmed it (I a bit confused by the process))

Also, while the skating quality will be higher, we will not see the likes of :ARG or :MAS this time :(

The reserve list is in the same document, but as you noticed later the reallocations are already counted here.

Alright, so the first IBSF qualification series races take place this week. Below I’ve posted the nations that are going for qualification (and least in Europe). There will be 4 races for each event in Europe, and then a further 4 races for each event in North America. Athletes must participate in at least 4 races to be eligible for YOG. The IBSF will have a points list where you can keep track of the qualification process.

*These are NOT quotas, just the countries attempting qualification

It's a little sad to see there's not a single Dutch athlete trying qualification. Even Liechtenstein tries in three (!) events, come on. I'm a little too lazy to check, but I thought they at least have one who is pretty promising, but I might be wrong.

Good job @Olympian1010 If you're so much into such things, could you please do the list of nations/athletes who completed the 2018/2019 season's condition of being eligible to fight for it (C2. of this document)

Well there are another 2 races in Germany, but that would mean they’d need to attend events in the US/Canada

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
