She stated herself that she is not planning to have a long sports career. She was dubbed the new Neuner and is already planning a Neuner-ish exit.

I'm already positively surprised she's still here after Pyeongchang :d

Really waiting for tomorrow. Another four additional athletes starting for Lithuania that were kept away from the individual race due to their age. So we're starting 4 boys and 2 girls.

Okay, this is historically the most successful Youth & Junior championship for us :clap::clap:

We have Maksim Fomin 0+0 :LTU at 7th!

Gytis Mikoliūnas 0+0 :LTU at 31st (this is also his first individual ibu race, after a start in the youth relay a couple of days ago)

and even Jokūbas Mačkinė snuck into the pursuit race at 57th with 33rd ski speed.

This brings me a lot of joy, time to get disappointed by our girls in two hours :)

And here we invite our local @justony to talk with us today and comment on how does it feel when Slovenia gets gold and silver in the sprint race?

Woah, noticed only now... :yikes: There were only 5 athletes that shot clean today and two of them were Lithuanian :yikes: The world is ending...

Not a great day for the US, 2 qualified in the YB for the pursuit, and only 1 for the for the YG.   Finland had a great day as well.  13 different nations have won medals so far.

    • Back in the 1970s, in the USA, it was called “Modern Rhythmic Gymnastics”   Coming back to edit this, since the sport was miniscule in the USA at that time, it’s probably how the FIG referred to it as well.
    • Although she did win bronze, I would add 1972 OG - Janet Lynn 4th in figures, 1st in FS.  Trixi Schuba,  1st in figures, 7th in FS.   And another one to add - 1984 Brian Orser  7-1-1.  Scott Hamilton 1-2-2.
    • Rhythmic Gymnastics The 2026-27 World Cup series will be part of the qualification process. This will occur after the 2026 World Champs, but before the 2027 World Champs. The top 2 eligible individuals and top eligible group will qualify. This caused a reduction of quotas available at the 2027 World Championships which now offer 12 individual and 4 group quotas.
