So I thought I’d make a rankings list of all the continental games this Olympiad cycle. The rankings are purely my opinion. I’ll do this again after the 2020 Winter YOG except I’ll compare all the multi-sports games of this cycle.

5. 2019 Pan American Games 8/10

Availability of Information:

1. 2019 Pan American Games 9.5/10

2. 2019 European Games 8.5/10

3. 2018 Asian Games 7.5/10

3. 2019 European Games 9/10

4. 2019 Pan American Games 8/10

5. 2019 African Games 1/10

That's disappointing :( Just let Senegal or Mali or some other country sort of south of the Saraha but north of South Africa host it and you won't have a high enough number for the atmosphere (ok, not a significantly higher score for information and overall organization, but still, I prefer atmosphere :p )

After claiming not ready for 2026 Commonwealth Games last year, suddenly the State of Selangor offers to be the main host if Malaysia proceed to bid.

Still: Morocco stepped in as an alternative for several other countries. Even after Morocco did not participate in recent African Games. Better something than nothing? Many other multi sport events haven't been held in recent years: West Asian Games, Arab Games, East Asian Games etc.

What African countries could stage these Games in the near future?

South Africa (they sent a relative small group of athletes because of financial issues)

Algeria (facilities are being built for the MedGames in Oran)

Nigeria

Ghana (really?)

Egypt

Tunesia

Senegal (build a huge basketball arena) & Mali (are you serious?)

Equatorial Guinea (former selected host, but no history in sports), must have been a joke....

Congo (to soon again)

Kenya

Some possibilities, but I think these Games are in serious doubt....like European Games, Universiad and (too) many other Games.

Would make perfect sense for them to host in 2023. @bestmen start campaigning :p. In all seriousness, I think :ALG could pull it off.

I also wouldn’t count out a country like :NAM, :BOT, or :ZIM

    • Oh god, the cross-country skiing is done by one of those typical English-language generic commentators again   Keeps calling the Icelandic lady Arna Albertsdottir 'the Australian Lauren Parker'.   Mind you, Parker won Paralympic gold in triathlon in Paris so should be somewhat recognizable or known to a professional commentator. Mind you again, when he started with that, which was when Albertsdottir was coming up to a split time, the graphics clearly showed Parker's time as currently fastest with Albertsdottir's time still counting (hence, it was her we were looking at).   Oh, and the lady he keeps calling Lauren Parker (from Australia) has 'ICELAND' written on her suit.
