Sagan looks quite happy that Groenewegen beat Van Dumb here or that sign meant something else ? :p

Sagan seemed angry at Van Aert mostly. Or at himself, which wouldn't be illogical neither, but seems less realistic :p

The sprint of Van Aeart was semi-fair. Probably enough for penalty.

So in terms of GC riders some lost time for Uran and Martin, and the Bahrain boys although one can wonder if they can still be counted as GC riders after the....issues of the past days :p

Also Michael Woods with 39 seconds gone.

Pogacar finished 164th in 2nd stage with +0.00 lag from the winner.

Cycling rules still confuse me

For safety reasons, there is a 3km crash limit before the end of the race.  Because he was caught up in a crash, he lost no time. If the crash had been 10km from the end, he would indeed have lost time.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
