Fencing Qualification for Summer Olympic Games 2016

OMG I can't believe it :yikes: It's a miracle for Mexican fencing!!

 

Julian Ayala in men's sabre and Nataly Michel in women's foil are going to the Olympic Games... Wow, they really take that last chance. Although I feel bad for the Argentinian fencers, they were very unlucky :(

 

I do not expect much from the epee competitors (the weakest weapon for the national team) but I'll keep my fingers crossed,

European qualification start today, here are the results and the schedule:

I will cheer for the following athletes:

Mens epee: Pereira and especially Freilich

Mens sabre: Voronov

Womens foil: Dont care

Womens epee: Heidemann!

Womens sabre: Mikina and Limbach

Mens foil: Dosa!

 

Heidemann is probably the biggest name at this tournament, it would be a shock if she would miss Rio.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
