Quite a bad comparison, since in swimming they did so with suits that became illegal after a while. Here everything falls into place (top shape, top conditions, everything), which might happen again even though it'd take some years.

here there's nothing "falling into place"...

it's either "doped ice" or "doped guys"..if not both (most probably)...:whistle::pope:

Yeah in that factor it's most likely not different from any other sport, but pretty much everyone agrees that these specific weeks are because of top shape and top ice, otherwise they'd have been way faster in the run-up to the Olympics instead of in the non-important post-Olympic season.

Hahaha, Murashov and Kulizhnikov trolling everyone and their dog in the very last, super mega hyped race of the season....by going slow, opening in 11+ and finishing in nearly 40 seconds :bowdown:

According to a Russian coach it was because of 'little physical problems' and they only wanted to start to secure the World Cup points, but of course nobody believes that :d

Mark Tuitert and Erben Wennemars on Dutch TV are absolutely mad as fuck, steam is basically shooting straight out of their ears   Sure, it was incredibly disrespectful but also hilarious :d

Kulizhnikov to Dutch TV: "I won 7 of the 11 500m's and still that doesn't mean you win the World Cup, that's not fair." After which he also apologized to the people

Translation (from someone else) of his interview with Dutch TV:

Quote

• When first asked about the reasons why he had done this, he replied that he had had enough injuries and doesn't want to risk his health. He assumed that the ice was really bad as it had not been prepared after the previous race.

• Pavel doesn't agree with the rules. He mentioned that he doesn't like the fact that he has to start in the same lane as yesterday as well as the fact that he was not leading the classification after several wins.

• He also mentioned that he did it "because he has already won 7 races out of 10" and so no reason to take the risk.

• He noted that if Shinhama rode the WR he would've gone fast.

• Finally, when asked about this attitude towards the noises of ingratitude coming from the tribunes, Pavel replied: "It was just a couple of people".

• In the end, he apologized.

    • For me there's a 1% chance Legia will be relegated- they have too much money and too much quality. They'd have to go bankrupt to be relegated.
    • Papszun took over in December when Legia was in 17th place already. Edward Iordanescu started the season and former player Inaki Astiz was a caretaker for two months. This duo combined for a club record 12 match winless streak that dropped Legia to relegation zone. The club's previous worst streak was 11 matches in 1966

    • Yes, that's Haaland's cousin Braut Brunes. If he has a bad day Raków is usually scrapping for 1-0 victory unless they concede a goal. Ivi Lopez is the playmaker but he's not as sharp since an injury last season.   Lech & Jagiellonia are the two strongest clubs right now, Raków probably #3. I discount league surprises and of course Legia which is stuck in relegation zone
    • On transfermarkt, Raków is worth 42 million euros and Jagiellonia only 32, but it is known that this is only a theory. On paper, the most valuable clubs in Poland are Lech and Raków: €42 million each. Raków have a strong Norwegian attacker from what I can see on internet.
