:INA finish 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 at the first Speed World Cup of the year. Oh, and…Kiromal Katibin casually sets the new WR a 5.17 :yikes: @Griff88

The question is when will the Indonesians try to learn other disciplines :p

Yeah, speed climbing being a standalone event probably means learning other events doesn't make much sense anymore. Let's hope Miroslaw hangs on until Paris to make up for the unfair Tokyo nonsense.

Indonesia looks to have covered the men's front which is very wise from them?

With speed getting its own medal event at the Olympics, that may not be as big of a priority anymore.

Indeed. Just hoping this split will stay and not rejoined again for subsequent Games (well perhaps unlikely since there is even a proposal to split all 3 disciplines as standalone events for 2028 if Paris 2024 format is successful).

finally they will have to split all the 3 disciplines...

combined events never did and will never make sense in the climbing sport community...

it's been a valuable trojan horse to sneak in into the Olympic program, but now it's time to restore the true nature of the sport...
