the bad weather and Italy's surprising struggles against Philippines allowed  Japan and  to earn the the 2 available spots in Group C for the 2024 World Cup Finals (the last chance match between  and  was definitively cancelled last night)

 

however,  Italy (Host Nation) and  China were given the 2 wild cards and therefore they will participate to the Final Tournament next year

 have taken the lead in the top of 2nd thanks to an awful mistake by the Canadian centerfielder, who totally misjudged an easy flyout (there was already a runner in 2nd base)
