 was basically  #2 in Tokyo

 

without their best US born players, they're not so competitive (and many of them didn't play at the 2022 Pan-Am Champs)

so, in the end  finish in 5th place and  despite beating the Chinese 6-0 in the opening match finish with a miserable 8th place because the girls just can't manage the pressure

 

they have taken the lead in each and every match (except vs the ), but they ended up losing all the games in the last inning (or the extra innings), mixing up big defensive errors and pitchers losing their focus and blowing that lead 

 

this championships has been a great success under the organizing point of view (a lot of spectators and good matches despite the unsufferable hot and humid weather), but truly a disaster under a sports point of view for our team, especially on defense and in the circle
