OlympicIRL 5,532 Posted November 9, 2018 #1324 Share Posted November 9, 2018 TISC Team Challenge - USA 2018 Some changes were made to the TISC Team Challenge, all of which will make the Team competition much easier to follow what is happening. Below you can see the TISC Team Challenge scoreboard design as well as a brief explanation of all the scoring rules below. I have also provided a detailed review of the TISC Team Challenge guidelines at the end of this post so you can all be informed and ready to support your teams. *Team Captains highlighted in gold ATLANTIC TEAM NORTHEAST TEAM GREAT LAKES TEAM MIDWEST TEAM SOUTH TEAM MOUNTAIN TEAM PACIFIC TEAM Leg 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Leg 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Leg 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Leg 4 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Leg 5 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Subtotal 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Additional Team Bonuses No. of Members Scoring 12 pts 0 / 5 Bonus: 0 pts 0 / 5 Bonus: 0 pts 0 / 5 Bonus: 0 pts 0 / 5 Bonus: 0 pts 0 / 5 Bonus: 0 pts 0 / 5 Bonus: 0 pts 0 / 5 Bonus: 0 pts Team Captain Scoring 12 pts Yes / No Bonus: 0 pts Yes / No Bonus: 0 pts Yes / No Bonus: 0 pts Yes / No Bonus: 0 pts Yes / No Bonus: 0 pts Yes / No Bonus: 0 pts Yes / No Bonus: 0 pts Bonuses +0 +0 +0 +0 +0 +0 +0 Additional Team Forfeits No. of Members Failing to Score 0 / 5 Forfeit: 0 pts 0 / 5 Forfeit: 0 pts 0 / 5 Forfeit: 0 pts 0 / 5 Forfeit: 0 pts 0 / 5 Forfeit: 0 pts 0 / 5 Forfeit: 0 pts 0 / 5 Forfeit: 0 pts Forfeits -0 -0 -0 -0 -0 -0 -0 Team Total 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Additional Bonus Guide: 2 Team Members Scoring a maximum on their Leg = 5 pts; 3 Team Members Scoring a maximum on their Leg = 10 pts 4 Team Members Scoring a maximum on their Leg = 15 pts 5 Team Members Scoring a maximum on their Leg = 25 pts Team Captain Scoring a maximum on their Leg = 5 pts Additional Forfeits Guide: Team Member Failing to Score on their Leg = -25 pts 2 or More Team Members Failing to Score on their Leg = ELIMINATION TISC Team Challenge Guidelines - USA 2018 The team competition consists of 7 teams of 5 nations each. Each team is based in a different region. Each team also has a designated captain who will be of extra significance to their team in terms of opportunities to score an extra bonus and who could have a role in breaking potential ties between teams in the final TISC Challenge rankings The TISC Team Challenge will be held in a relay format with a different team member covering each of the 5 legs. Each leg will last for a total of 7 consecutive votes. Leg 1 will involve the votes of the juries positioned 1-7 in the voting order; leg 2 will involve the votes of the juries positioned 8-14 in the voting order; leg 3 will involve the votes of the juries positioned 15-21 in the voting order; leg 4 will involve the votes of the juries positioned 22-28 in the voting order; and finally leg 5 will involve the votes of the juries positioned 29-35 in the voting order. The running order of the relays is displayed on the scoreboard. Only the score of the team member taking part in that specific leg will count for the team score. If the scoring team member fails to score throughout their entire leg, the team takes a forfeit in the form of -25 penalty points. If two team members from the same team fail to score throughout their respective legs, their team will be eliminated from the team competition. In the unlikely event where only 2 or fewer teams avoid elimination, elimination will count as a team forfeit of an additional -100 penalty points. Eliminated teams still cannot place higher than non-eliminated teams in the final team ranking. Additional bonus or penalty points can be awarded to teams who achieved one or more of the following achievements: 5 team members scoring a maximum 12 point score on their leg 25 4 team members scoring a maximum 12 point score on their leg 15 3 team members scoring a maximum 12 point score on their leg 10 2 team members scoring a maximum 12 point score on their leg 5 Team Captain scoring a maximum 12 point score on their leg 5 Team member failing to score on their leg -25 2 or more team member failing to score on their legs EL If there is a tie between two or more teams once all 5 legs have been completed, the highest and lowest scoring members for each team will be discarded, and the scores of the 3 middle scoring team members will be used to determine the tie-break. If there is still a tie, only the score of the team captains will be used to determine the tie-break. If there is still a tie, the team with a higher Fair Play ranking will win the tie (the team awarding least points to their own team members are ranked highest in the Fair Play rankings). If there is still a tie after the tie-break rules have been applied, the teams will be deemed to have tied for position. dcro and vinipereira

OlympicIRL 5,532 Posted November 9, 2018 #1330 Share Posted November 9, 2018 Irish Delegation enjoying a day-out in the Orlando sunshine The Irish delegation enjoyed a fun-filled VIP tour of the Universal and Disney parks yesterday. The team took plenty of snaps, as they let their hair down before tonight's Opening Ceremony and the Grand Final tomorrow. The day began with a trip to Universal. Séamus wasted no time in seeking some thrills on "The Hulk", of course dragging OlympicIRL with him And then on to "The Rocket".... The team took a trip to "Harry Potter world", hoping for some magic on Saturday. Séamus thought for a moment that the Opening Ceremony TISC flame was being lit OlympicIRL was spotted sneaking in to purchase some potions that could come in handy during the Grand Final After enjoying a Butter Beer, the team took the Hogwarts Express After the team left Hogwarts, it was time to grab some food. They bumped into @heywoodu at the Krusty Burger, and the Irish team wished the Dutch team well before heywoodu flew off once again in his time-travelling machine. Finally, the team were whisked off to Disneyland. Will there be a fairytale on Saturday for the Irish? The Irish team stayed to watch the fireworks before a late night trip back to their resort. And Irish organisers hired this transport to take them to tonight's Opening Ceremony. They will be sure to make a grand entrance, with Séamus no doubt on the top deck, already getting drunk. dcro, heywoodu and hckošice
