With the Olympics coming around haven't checked any results on World Athletics and only found out through the "Athletics Discussion Thread", but Sarah Mitton opened up her season a few days ago at the Knights of Columbus Games with a 20.22m effort in women's shot put! :cheer:

:yikes:I know conditions in Paris weren't great during the shot put, but that would have won by 22cm.

Some outstanding performances in Day 1 and 2 of the national indoor championships:

 

Women's 60mH: Mariam Abdul-Rashid delivers a championship record in the Women’s 60mH (8.03), rising to the occasion and shining bright on home soil in front of the Canadian crowd.

 

Women's 60m: Sadé McCreath smashes the Championship record with 7.12 in the 60m final, the fastest time in the nation this year and 13th in the world.


Men's 60m: In a thrilling final, Eliezer Adjibi surges at the line to claim the national title, stopping the clock at 6.64 to set a new Championship record. 
 

Women's Shot Put: Sarah Mitton with a 19.97m Championship record secures the national title, now focused on chasing the three-peat at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland.

 

In 1st day of  Men’s Heptathlon at the 2026 Canadian Indoor Championships:
Damian Warner leads the standings with 3,429 points.
Pierce LePage sits in second with 3,286 points.

 

Women's Pentathlon: Kendra Leger totals 3,812 points across five events to secure the national title in a commanding all-around performance.
