That more shows how bad we are in this sport, even winning a match in juniors tournament (which is absolutely nothing) is considered as an achievement

yes but the thing is, it doesn't look like a start :d it's something like 0.001% progress .

kudos to that girl though to go this far on her own, people here prefer to watch tennis and play for fun. nobody plays competitive Tennis seriously.

Sure enough, FAA blows a two set lead and falls to Medvedev :coffee:

Iga Swiatek will play Danielle Collins in the second women's SF. However it feels like Barty vs Keys is the premature final.

Sliding on hard court? On MP no less? Who needs Clijsters doing splits?

    • They've completely revamped the onscreen graphics - bit hard to tell how it will all work because for the semis they were concentrating on the middle of the race where the Line of Doom was.  And they broke down on the fourth shoot  so nothing new there.     But when they DO work, Eurovision style, you do get a real-time idea of changing overall position, which was always hard before.
    • there's enough star power there already, anyone who wants more is just greedy, lol.

    • truly, truly unsportsmanlike, disgusting behaviour by  Danil Lavrentev during and after the gold medal match of the men's -73kg   he should have been DQed already during the fight and instead he was allowed to play the dirtiest game and win an undeserved gold medal first, and then he also taunted his opponent after the end of the match (which should have resulted once again in a DQ)   but he just got a simple verbal warning for all of that   given that also the previous times he faced  Manuel Lombardo in a couple of last year Gran Slam's GMMs he didn't act fair at all (in one of the fights he intentionally tried to break Lombardo's arm, luckily without success), IJF and EJU shouldn't be so soft on him...as he's not only an instigator, but also dangerous to his opponents     him before it's too late and he ruins someone's career

    • We´ll see. anyway, I hope hope so.   It was her first career senior bout, maybe a bit too early, to be thrown in the lion´s den, but if all this will result in a medal in LA 28 I am all in
