Interesting, that the Multisports European Championships site is using NOCs in the schedule (is this a attempt to became the real European Games ?) :d https://www.europeanchampionships.com/results/en/all-sports/noc-schedule.htm

but when will they start the Live Results app ?

Looks like they finally started to work on it, the Artistic Gymnastics start lists etc for tomorrow are in, https://www.europeanchampionships.com/results/en/all-sports/competition-schedule.htm

Rowing is less than an hour away from the start and there are not even start lists. This whole thing is an even bigger joke than the European Games....I mean, look at Totallympics: the fact this 'event' is not even talked about in it's own thread or in 'Athletics at the European Championships Thread' threads says enough about 'the European Championships' really not being 'a thing'.

It's a joke. I mean, come on, putting Berlin's athletics Europeans and Glasgow's track cycling in the same boat and calling it European Championships is just about the stupidest thing I've heard.

Have you heard anything at all in your media calling it 'The European Championships'? I mean, here in Dutch media there has been a slight mention of these events being put together, but apart from that mention stuff is just called 'the European athletics/swimming/rowing/gymnastics championships', being several stand-alone events.

I don't think so. Whole concept sounds like the British "Mo Farah" and "3000m walk WR" hype. :p

It's a start, and it's working (at least here). Four pages on today's l'Equipe, 100 hours+ of live broadcasting on public television. For sports like rowing or triathlon it will be the best they ever got outside of the olympics.

The guide said something like that: Algeria is a few minutes from here but we won't go there because there is a war going on there and it's not safe.
    • Netanyahu is bad but unfortunately Hamas helps him maintain power. Every attack they make is a reinforcement of Netanyahu's rhetoric about the country's security, etc. In the fall of 2023, Netanyahu was already losing support and then suddenly a big Hamas attack on a festival near the Gaza Strip. Coincidence? It wouldn`t surprise me at all if Netanyahu knew about the plan for this attack but did nothing so that he would then have the tools to maintain his power. I also remember Ariel Sharon - he was probably even more radical than Netanyahu but he had a brain hemorrhage and fell into a coma.
    • Ah yes, post-colonial bickering never gets too old. Let me grab my popcorn!   Netanyahu is on a personal revenge mission to avenge his brother's death for his entire political life and people still act like they're surprised by his actions

    • In what year did Algeria free itself from French influence? 1960, exactly?

Apart from he waś there as president of Ukraine and speaking in the Knesset? Nothing. In the power circles in Moscow there were/are many people of Jewish origin and what about that? A large part of the power apparatus of the USSR was based on Jews, especially in the years shortly after WWII.   Instead of constantly writing about Jews, would be better to tell me which country Algeria has better diplomatic relations with: Tunisia or Egypt?

In Cortina there will be 3 competitions with medals to win and it would be a shame not to use our track to win 1-2 medals. The same goes for luge.
